Ferrari Sets to Allow Car Payments in Cryptocurrency: Does the Policy Include Nigeria?

Ferrari has made a new policy that allows buyers to purchase a brand new Ferrari vehicle with just cryptocurrency payment.

This new move by Ferrari is to attract people who are not Ferrari customers but could afford to purchase one. However, the crypto payment transaction is only limited to one country at the moment—the United States of America. Ferrari has plans to expand to its European customers in the near future. But, nothing has been said by the brand concerning its customers in Africa.

Prior to Ferrari’s plans of accepting crypto payment for cars, Tesla was the only other brand that had accepted crypto for payments, however, Tesla only limited crypto payments to gadgets and accessories, but not cars.

Interestingly, Ferrari seems to be the brand that will be spearheading car crypto payment even though the brand has been notable for being conservative in its practices.

Speaking on this new development, the brand’s chief marketing officer, Enrico Galliera noted that the reasons are that crypto is a lot more “green” now as miners are switching to renewable sources to mine crypto efficiently, which aligns with Ferrari’s emission-free strategy. He also noted that accepting crypto payments opens up new possibilities for the brand.
