The V12 AMG may be gone but the e-performance brand is HOT. Meet the 2024 S63e performance, the most powerful S-Class ever. The design is slightly tweaked outside with a new front facia bearing the Panamericana grill with a hideous radar sensor, a unique bumper, and custom AMG wheels up to 21in.
All badges are either red accented or feature the AMG crest. It comes standard with air suspicion and electric anti-roll bars, active dampers, rear steering and active engine mounts.
Speaking of the engine, here we have a 4.0L TwinTurbo V8 paired to a 13.1kWh battery pack offering 21 miles of EV range. In total we have 791HP and 1,055 lb-ft of torque to all four wheels, hitting 60MPH in 3.2sec and it weighs 5,556 lbs. In the US, the AMG Drivers Pack is standard which enables a 180MPH Top Speed vs 155MPH.
Braking duties come courtesy of 15.7-inch discs with six-piston callipers in front and 15-inch rotors with single-piston stoppers at the back.
Inside gets a subtle makeover too with carbon fibre trim on offer, custom AMG upholstery, the new AMG steering wheel, sportier graphics on the infotainment system and AMG displays. There are 4 levels of brake regeneration and 7 dynamic select modes.
No pricing is out just yet but don’t expect anything cheaper than $170,000
