The bespoke vehicle, which is inspired by nautical design, is believed to be the most expensive new car of all time. The rumour was born from reports the owner was American and was in the music business.

The rumour was further fueled by photos that showed the champagne cooler filled with bottles of Armand de Brignac – which is partially owned by Jay-Z. In the video, which was shot by Supercar Blondie’s Sergi Galiano, a blonde woman can be seen behind the wheel of the car. Could it be Beyonce? Possibly.

But if it were, she would likely have had one or two security vehicles in tow. The British marque says each of the three vehicles was custom-built for its owner, “reflecting their own history, tastes, and sensibilities”. The Boat Tail spotted in Dubai this week is described by the brand as oceanic blue infused with shimmering crystals.

Rolls-Royce says the colour was created to be subtle in shadow but vibrant in the light. And of course, there’s nothing normal about the paintwork as Rolls-Royce achieved the smooth edges by “delicately running a finger over the definitive body line before the paint set”.

The 19-foot-long vehicle is powered by Rolls-Royce’s signature 6.75-liter V12.  Despite weighing 2,100 kg, it can reach 62 mph (100km/h) in just five seconds.  It also has a top speed of 250km/h (155mph).
