The Hyperion Hydrogen Hypercar is indeed a game changer. This car is known as Hyperion XP-1, a hypercar that is powered by hydrogen fuel cells. In fact, it changes the hypercar game completely.

First of all, this car is faster than even the cars you might consider the fastest. The hydrogen powertrain utilizes space flight technology to store more hydrogen in less volume than any other hydrogen car on the road.

This alone makes the car fast while also being lighter.

The XP-1 can accelerate from a standstill to 60 mph in 2.2 seconds and has a top speed of 220 mph.

The car only weighs 2,275 pounds, the equivalent of 1,031 kg.

Another good news about this car is that while battery-powered cars usually take 20-40 minutes to charge, the hydrogen Hyperion only charges in under 2 minutes. Completely insane.

The best part? It does 1,016 on a tank.

The XP-1 was built on a monocoque frame, using titanium body panels and carbon fibre hydrogen tanks.

Every element was designed for a purpose.

For instance, the car is fitted with solar panels designed to move to follow the sun’s rays—like a sunflower.

Inside, there’s an ultra-futuristic and yet minimalistic cabin.

There are no buttons or knobs. However, it does a massive 98-inch curved screen that integrates the dashboard and the centre console.

The Price Of The Hyperion XP-1

Hyperion hasn’t revealed how much the XP-1 will cost but considering its performance and the level of technology, it’ll cost between $2-$3 million.
