Henry Iyke is from the Igbo tribe and he has made a tremendous impact in the southeastern part of Nigeria through his philanthropic foundation named Ifenalaife Foundation. An indigene of Anambra state, he was born in Uli, Ihiala Local Government Area. Chief Henry Iyke was born on the 4th of November, however, his birth year is not yet known.

Many people might assume Chief Henry Iyke was born with a silver spoon, but unfortunately, that was not the case. He didn’t give up even when he faced his darkest moments when he was extremely poor. He built his wealth from scratch through hard work and diligence. Currently, he is the Chief Executive Officer of Merimerid International Limited and also the founder of the Ifenalaife Foundation.

Having suffered pain and poverty while he made his way to being a billionaire, Chief Henry Iyke has chosen to help many others and alleviate poverty as much as he can. He founded Ifenalaife Foundation, as an intervention to help the less-privileged and widows in his community in Uli, Anambra state. 

The Ifenalaife Foundation is a registered and reputable foundation in Anambra state. This foundation caters to people’s needs under three programs which are:  Education Support Program, Youth Empowerment Program, Community Development Programs, Welfare and Health. Through the Education Support Program, the foundation offers awards and scholarships to outstanding pupils in the state. Currently, over 234 students have benefitted from this foundation.

Similarly, through the Youth Empowerment Program, Chief Henry Iyke has helped to reduce unemployment and poverty in the land of Uli by providing various skill acquisition programs like fashion and designing, ICT, Hairdressing, and other vocational training to youths who are thereafter empowered to begin their business. 

The Community Development Program has catered for the welfare and health well-being of indigenes of the Uli community and Anambra at large. Recently, Chief Henry Iyke completed the construction of a 3-kilometre road in the Uli Community, well equipped with street lights.
