The Mercedes-Benz EQC is an electric compact luxury SUV. Its first production started in 2019 with the well-known Mercedes-Benz. It is part of the first production of the fully electric Mercedes EQ, a model that Mercedes plans on expanding to include 10 more new models by 2022. The Mercedes-Benz EQC runs on the front-wheel drive.

The Mercedes-Benz EQC is a fully electric vehicle that comes with a unique design style. Mercedes-Benz plans on making 50% of its new productions fully electric or plug-in hybrid by 2030 and by 2025, no internal engine combustion vehicle would be produced without mild hybrid systems. It is a really good decision and that is what led to the beginning of Mercedes-Benz electric vehicles with the first being the 2019 Mercedes-Benz EQC 400

The 2019 Mercedes-Benz EQC shares the same platform as the Mercedes-Benz GLC SUV. It is a fully electric vehicle that is loaded with enough technical features to keep the car going and give the driver a unique experience. It is amazingly quiet on the road and has a luxurious interior from start to finish.

The vehicle comes in just one trim which is the EQC 400 and is equipped with a lot of features such as 20-inch alloy wheels, two 10.25-inch interior displays for the instrument cluster, and Mercedes-Benz’ MBUX infotainment system that take over the dashboard, phone mirroring, automatic collision avoidance, and intelligent Navigation system and so on. The User experience, which is the MBUX system, features a voice control smart assistant that can be activated easily by just giving a short command like “Hey Mercedes”. The system also displays charging information and energy consumption figures. The navigation system suggests roads that lead to the nearest charging stations in the case of low car battery and also roads leading to the driver’s destination.

The interior of the 2019 EQC has new textures and fabrics that include a silky-feeling vegan dash wrapping that is made of plastics. Also, a silver fin-like design element covers the dash in rose-gold colouring on the air vents. All these features make the interior a very nice place to be in

There are so many carryover traits from the Mercedes-Benz GLC SUV to the 2019 Mercedes-Benz EQC because they are built on the same production line. The EQC has a width of 1884mm and stretches as far as 4761mm with a height of 1623mm. It rides on a wheelbase of 2873mm. These measurements are not much different from the Mercedes-Benz GLC.

The 2020 Mercedes-Benz EQC is serene enough to challenge the S-class reputation as the king of quietness. The front and rear models are insulated from the body with two layers of rubber isolation and aft unit boxed in foam. The battery produces 402 horsepower and 561 pound-feet of torque to carry the EQC’s 5500-pound body weight.

During its performance testing, it ran from 0 mph to 60 mph in 5.0 seconds. The steering wheel paddles toggle between five different regeneration modes. The most aggressive produces 75% of the maximum regeneration when the driver lifts the accelerator.

The 2020 EQC also takes some of the features of the GLC but in terms of luxury and style, the EQC is better off and the sizing is perfect for both adults and children. The interior is made of high-gloss plastics, a broad plank of digital screens on the dash which makes the car look really modern, and neatly tailored textiles.

Mercedes-Benz had planned on going all out with the 2021 model. The Mercedes-Benz plans on giving the 2021 model enough standard equipment and makes it a luxury SUV for many buyers. It would also come with a sunroof that would allow light to come into the interior cabin and rain-sensing wipers that would clear the windshield on rainy days. A power liftgate would also be added and LED headlights.

The engine would be paired with two electric lithium-ion batteries and would include a one-speed direct-drive transmission that would power all four wheels. A powertrain would provide a total power of 402 horsepower and 561 pound-feet of torque. Mercedes-Benz gave an estimate that the car would be able to sprint from 0 mpg to 60 mph in 4.8 seconds.

The vehicle is going to be equipped with certain safety features such as driver assistance technology, a blind-spot monitoring system, lane-keeping assistance, and adaptive cruise control.
