In a few months, automakers will be rolling out the 2024 models of their vehicles into the market. These vehicles will become the latest versions of their specific models. Oftentimes, not all vehicles make it into a new year because automakers could easily decide to discontinue the production of the vehicle.

Fortunately, the Honda Pilot model is one of Honda’s vehicles that will be making it into the 2024 model year. While Honda is still rolling out features of the Honda Pilot, here are some things already known about the 2024 Honda coming to the Nigerian market soon.

2024 Honda Pilot Overview

The 2024 Honda Pilot is a three-row crossover SUV with a big interior and a decent V6-powered engine. Vehicles in the category of the Honda Pilot are the Kia Telluride, the Ford Explorer, and the Toyota Highlander.

For the 2024 model year, the Honda Pilot comes with efficient fuel economy. However, that’s still not better than the fuel economy of the Kia Telluride and the Hyundai Palisade.

What’s New in the 2024 Honda Pilot?

The 2024 Honda Pilot will be a revamp of the 2023 model but with blockier styling and an off-roading trim level coupled with a V6 engine.

According to experts, its blunt front end gives way to a side profile that looks like an updated version of a 1990s classic. In the interior, some trim levels of the Pilot come with a 9.0-inch touchscreen situated on top of a simple dashboard.

Engine & Performance in the 2024 Honda Pilot

The Honda Pilot uses a smooth 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 285 horsepower. The vehicle’s gearbox works silently in the background to make the most of all that power, but the Pilot does not have great fuel economy. However, experts recommend getting a trim level with up to 21 mpg combined with all-wheel drive. Honda hasn’t still introduced a hybrid for the 2024 Honda Pilot.

For the TrailSport model, reviewers describe it as a calm, comfortable ride with standard 18-inch wheels that changes only slightly with the bigger 20s fitted to higher-trim versions. Reviewers also noted that the TrailSport can be a bit bouncy with its off-road tires.

While Honda is still rolling out the features of the 2024 Pilot, what has become public knowledge is that the 2024 Pilot contains eight passengers and still retains comfort, making its space better and wider than Honda’s minivan, the Odyssey.

Drive-Assistance Safety Features in the 2024 Honda Pilot

Car review experts note that crash tests have yet to be performed on the 2024 Honda Pilot. However, some of the safety features expected to arrive with the vehicle include adaptive cruise control, active land control, and driver-attention monitor. Also, the blind-spot monitors will be standard in all trim besides the base trim.

How Much is the 2024 Honda Pilot?

While the starting price of the 2024 Honda Pilot has yet to be made public, experts believe that the Pilot will be sold for around $37,500, which is about N33 million, using the current exchange rate.
