As the trend toward electric vehicles continues in Nigeria, driven by the rising cost of fuel, more Nigerians are considering the Tesla best-seller, the 2024 Tesla Cybertruck. It was a moment of celebration when the first 2024 Tesla Cybertruck arrived in Nigeria. Carmart reported, “Ghana 1, Nigeria 1: Nigerians celebrate as the first 2024 Tesla Cybertruck touches down.”
A popular Nigerian-American auto dealer, Mr. JAY AUTOS LTD, has shared that more Nigerians are purchasing the new Tesla Cybertruck. According to the dealer, “Our client ordered two of the 2024 Tesla Cybertrucks. The second one will be delivered to us today, and then we will ship both of them to Nigeria.” Days later, he updated his Instagram with a new post stating, “We just sealed another deal on a Matte Black 2024 Tesla Cybertruck, also going to 🇳🇬🇳🇬. More updates soon.”
The 2024 Tesla Cybertruck has a unique design that resembles something from an alien race, but it is built to compete with popular pickup trucks. Featuring a sharp-edged, stainless-steel body that is claimed to be bulletproof, this electric truck looks exceptionally tough. For 2024, Tesla offers two all-wheel-drive configurations: a Dual Motor model with 600 horsepower and a high-performance Beast model equipped with three electric motors producing a combined 834 horsepower. A single-motor rear-wheel-drive version of the Cybertruck is expected to be available in 2025.

Tesla asserts that the Cybertruck can tow up to 11,000 pounds and has an estimated driving range of up to 340 miles. When connected to a Tesla Supercharger, the electric truck can reportedly add between 128 and 136 miles of range in just 15 minutes.
The 2024 Cybertruck debuts in Nigeria with a starting price of ₦550 million, the lineup only includes the Dual Motor and Beast models. Since we think driving range is what most buyers will be concerned with the most, we’d suggest sticking with the less expensive Dual Motor model which offers slightly more real-world range and will still be plenty quick.
