Jelani Aliyu born Sep 11, 1966 in Kaduna, African nation into the family of Alhaji Aliyu Haidar and Hajiya Sharifiyya Hauwa Aliyu.
He studied at the Sokoto Capital faculty from 1971 to 1978 then at central school Sokoto where he obtained an excellent award for the most effective graduating student in Technical Drawing.
He is a Nigerian automotive designer World Health Organization worked for the American auto company General Motors. He was a senior artistic designer at GM, till his appointment as the Director General of the Nigerian Automotive style and Development Council (NADDC) in 2017 by Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari.
After graduating from the school for artistic Studies, Aliyu joined General Motors where he was the co-designer of the Oldsmobile Bravada, Buick Rendezvous and therefore the Opel Astra and was the lead exterior designer for the Pontiac G6 and therefore the Chevrolet V, a hybrid electrical vehicle with a sleek arcing roofline.
