Mazda’s legendary infamous rotary engine powers the Mazda RX-7. It makes the car smooth and fast but also incredibly brittle.
Cars have souls, but there are cars out there that have souls than a rotary-powered Mazda.
The Mazda RX-7 is like a car that always makes a mess but is still loved by car lovers.
So, why was this one abandoned for so long by the owner?
The owner bought it brand new from the dealership and drove it for about 8,800 miles. However, at some point in 199, the owner parked it in the garage and left it there.
About The Mazda RX-7
The RX-7 Mazda is powered by a 275-hp rotary engine that can rev up to 10,000 rpm. Back when it was new, this car could reach a top speed of almost 249km/h (155 mph).
And it only took about five seconds to get to 60 mph from a standstill.
A YouTuber discovered this Mazda, WD Detailing, he said this is a “rare barn find.”
The YouTuber decided to restore it, and they started by washing the car. Upon inspection, they discovered a lot of dead mice and, curiously, ammunition inside the glovebox. They also found a bunch of useful documents in the glove box.
That’s good news because being able to provide extensive documentation increases the value of a car.
The Mazda RX-7 Price
The car has now been cleaned and thoroughly wiped by the YouTuber. When the Mazda was still new, it came with an MSRP of around $31,000.
Similar models of it with a lot more miles were $60,000 to $70,000.
Considering the car’s mileage and current condition, the price will range between $90,000 to $100,000.
