It’s this same anxiety that prevents owners of electric vehicles from travelling long distances with their vehicles, and it’s also the reason why a huge number of car enthusiasts are still afraid to purchase an electric vehicle.
However, it looks like the YouTuber has come up with the perfect solution—installing a generator in your electric vehicle. With his generator in his Tesla, the man was able to cover a 1,800-mile journey. The Tesla can travel 405 miles on a single charge, which means the man must have recharged his Tesla plenty of times while driving.
Speaking about constantly recharging his car he said:
“I really like my Tesla, but what I don’t like is stopping to charge, especially on a road trip. I don’t even like stopping to fill up my gas-powered car and that’s way faster than charging.”
He also noted that the Tesla Model S consumed more engine than the generator could produce while driving, making him stop 5-6 hours per day to recharge.
