“It Cost N450K in Abuja”: Man Converts Fuel Cars To Gas, Puts Gas Cylinder Inside Vehicle Boot

Car owners in Nigeria are readjusting to the new normal after the removal of fuel subsidies a few months ago. While some park their vehicles at home and use public transportation for day-to-day activities, others are being creative with their cars.

A Nigerian man has shared a video showing cars converted to use compressed natural gas, CNG. The man explained that the cars would run on CNG at no longer on Petroleum Motor Spirit, PMS.

The video also shows that the gas cylinders were installed in the cars’ boots after the conversion. However, it’s not clear if that will be the permanent position of the vehicle.

While many applauded the creative conversion to CNG, others are worried about the safety of the vehicle considering the gas cylinder is located in the car’s boot.
