- Apply a quarter-sized amount of toothpaste to a soft, clean, damp towel. It’s necessary that the towel is clean and damp, so that it does not make the scratch deeper. Whitening toothpaste is preferable, however, you can use any toothpaste you have.
- Using the soft, clean, damp towel rub in the toothpaste into the scratched area in circular motion. Apply a little bit of pressure as you rub the toothpaste on the scratch.
- Rinse the area thoroughly of excess toothpaste after you have finished buffing out the scratches.

Small scratches are a bit deeper than surface scratches, but they can easily be removed too. Small scratches are best removed by scratch removal products. Follow these steps to remove small scratches from your car;
- Purchase scratch-removal products at auto supply stores near you. These products are often sold as a scratch-removal kit that includes the scratch-removal solution and a buffing pad to apply the product.

- Apply the product on the scratch surface and the surrounding area in a circular motion or back and forth motion. Apply a little pressure as you do this.
