According to her, the family spent over $20,000 (8,932,600) to convert the bus into a habitable space for the family. Many who have seen the interior of the bus that has now been turned into a home said it was a big cost-saving move.

In the video, the mother said they spent $1,250 (558,287.50) on the exterior paints for the bus. For lumbers and counters, they paid $3,732 (1,666,823.16). Electrical and appliances cost them $8,106 (3,620,382.78). They had to part away with $1,342 (599,377.46) for plumbing work.
