In Nigeria, it is common knowledge that after Toyota, Honda is the next favourite. It is the alternative for those who cannot afford a Toyota or those who don’t want a Toyota. The point is, that Honda is the second most popular car on Nigerian roads after Toyota.

The Honda Accord Discussion Continues

Honda Accord End of Discussion is a sedan which was manufactured between 2003-2005 and subsequently, the series was continued with Honda Accord discussion continues. It is not uncommon to see these cars on the road today, especially the 2003-2005 Honda Accord. It is a sure sign that these automobiles are still as effective today as when they were first made.

In this article, we’ll be comparing these two cars.

Exterior

It’ll be safe to say that the exterior of these two cars is very similar with just slight differences. The Honda Accord End of Discussion will look a bit rusty in comparison to the Honda Discussion Continues and this is because the Discussion Continues has been given sleeker and sharper edges with more dignified headlights and rear lights to correspond with the designs of modern-day vehicles.

The End of Discussion on the other hand has no styling going on in comparison to the Discussion Continues. But this is expected as the End of Discussion belongs to an older generation.

Interior

While both cars are roomy and have quite a lot of cabin space to ensure passengers are comfortable, it is worth noting that the wheels of the End of Discussion are a bit bigger than that of the Discussion Continues.

The trunk of the End of Discussion is also bigger than that of the Discussion Continues. Also, the infotainment tech in the Discussion continues (depending on the year) is an upgraded version, it even has a touch screen feature compared to End of Discussion which was basically just a radio and a few knobs for the air conditioning.

Trims And Prices

Over the years, the Honda Accord has consistently come in three trims: DX, LX and EX. However, the 2022 models have a Hybrid trim. The EX is the best trim as it comes with more engine power and torque.

Concerning the prices, due to the ever-changing exchange rate between the naira and the dollar and also the cost of importation, we cannot give you an exact amount. We estimate that a brand new Honda End of Discussion will cost about N4.5 million. While a brand new Honda Discussion Continues will cost about N5.5 million. Then a used Honda End of Discussion will cost N2 million and a Honda Discussion Continues N3.5 million.

Please note that these prices are estimated and the actual prices. The vehicles may cost more or less depending on the economy and other factors.

Fuel Economy And Engine Performance

The Discussion Continues has a better engine capacity as underneath its hood houses a 3.5 V6 engine which produces a whopping 268 horsepower that inevitably enables this car to go faster than its older brother the 2005 End of Discussion.

The table below has comprehensive information about the inner workings of these vehicles.

Honda End Of Discussion

Engine2.4L I-4, 3.0L V-6
Power160 – 255 hp
Torque161 lb-ft
Fuel Economy29mpg

Honda Discussion Continues

Engine3.5 litre V6
Power268hp
Torque177 lb-ft
Fuel Economy19mpg

CONCLUSION

The Honda Discussion Continues is better than the End of Discussion in terms of the interior, exterior fuel economy, engine, power, and torque.

But the End of Discussion has a bigger trunk space for putting stuff and its wheels are bigger than that of the Discussion Continues. Depending on your needs, you could purchase either of these cars. But why be frugal and spend less on a Honda Accord End of Discussion when you can be regal by buying the upgraded Discussion?
