Flight companies in Nigeria are quickly increasing their flight prices ahead of the Christmas week. In a short period, these prices have gone from N150k to over N250k, and passengers that are mostly affected by this drastic increase in price are those travelling to the South-East and the South-South this Christmas.

Reports note that on their booking platforms, airlines like AirPeace and Dana Air are already asking for a swooping N250k for a one-way economy class seat, while return tickets are sold for over N500k.

However, the price increases for those travelling to the Northern routes like Abuja, Kaduna and Kano are not as high as for those travelling to the South-East and South-South.
