The 2021 Ford Edge is a good midsize SUV by the most standard. It has a roomy five-seat interior with an easy-to-use infotainment system, lots of active safety features, and decent cargo space. Its turbocharged engines yield energetic acceleration and above-average fuel economy. All but the ST are powered by a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine (250 horsepower, 275 lb-ft of torque) paired with an eight-speed automatic. Front-wheel drive is standard, with all-wheel drive available as an option. Meanwhile, the Edge ST is powered by a twin-turbocharged 2.7-litre V6 (335 hp, 380 lb-ft) paired with a new seven-speed automatic and standard all-wheel drive. All 2021 models get Ford's new Sync 4 infotainment system, which includes a large 12-inch touch screen and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Standard safety equipment includes FCW, AEB with pedestrian detection, BSW, and rear cross-traffic warning.
