Recent news that just surfaced online shows the sad moment a tanker filled with fuel exploded on the highway after it hit a bus in Kogi state.
The fatal accident took place on Sunday, May 21, when a Toyota Hiace bus crashed into a tanker that was heading to Abuja from Kogi State.
According to reports, the bus was heading towards Lokoja from Abuja but suddenly lost control and rammed into the tanker that was on the other lane.

News Agency of Nigeria reports that the tanker went into flames the moment the bus hit it, and at least two passengers sustained severe injuries.
The accident was blamed on the recklessness of the driver, who was said to be driving at a high speed.
Injured victims were immediately rushed to a hospital, Ideal Hospital Koton Karfe, while other road operatives were on the road to ensure the free flow of vehicles across the scene.
