Folarin Falana, often known as Falz, a prominent Nigerian rapper, has urged Nigerians to attend the #EndSARS Memorial Car Procession on October 20, 2021.
On his Instagram page, yesterday Falz stated that there will be no demonstration, but rather a parade of Nigerians through the Lekki tollgate to memorialize those who died during the #EndSARS protest on October 20, 2020.
It is unthinkable, he claims, not to “memorialize our fallen heroes.”

“We will never forget that innocent Nigerian citizens waved flags and sung till they were shot at, maimed, and died,” he wrote in his message.
“We must never forget that we will be driving through the tollgate in cars tomorrow.” We know their route, therefore an automobile procession is the safest method to avoid police harassment.”
Falz reassured participants who took part in the event that they would be secure in their vehicles.
“We’ll stay in our cars the entire time. We have transportation available for those who require it. “Everyone’s safety is really vital, so please join us in moving forward,” he urged.
Today, youths have come to the streets and Lekki Tollgate to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the shootings at peaceful #Endsars demonstrators at the tollgate on October 20 last year. Falz, the music star, is one of the prominent figures at the tribute.
“We desire justice for those who lay down their lives for us,” Falz (Folarin Falana), who is live-streaming the gathering on his Instagram profile, added.
“They haven’t gotten justice”
Mr Macaroni attended the memorial as well.
During the parade, one rallying cry is “remain in the car.”
Falz stated, “We don’t want to cause any trouble.”
Meanwhile, police have detained a group of demonstrators who were walking around and talking to reporters.
The long caravan of cars is screaming horns, waving flags, and, as one participant put it, “dropping roses for our fallen soldiers.”
