According to Emily Schubert, Apple’s senior manager for car experience engineering, she says, “Cars have changed a lot, with larger-sized screens and more of them throughout the car,” there’s an opportunity for the iPhone to play an even more important role. We’ve been working with automakers to reinvent the in-car experience across all of the driver’s screens.
“No matter what type of unique screen shapes or layouts you may have, this next generation of CarPlay feels like it was made specifically for your car.”
During the conference, Apple also confirmed that it has already worked with car brands like Acura, Audi, Ford, Honda, Infiniti, Jaguar, Land Rover, Lincoln, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, and Polestar, Porsche, Renault and Volvo to integrate these new generation tech features in their cars.
However, the first vehicle that will feature next-Gen Apple CarPlay will be revealed in late 2023.
