Emmanuella Njubigbo, popularly known as “Nuella Njubigbo,” was born on the 18th of March 1984 to her parents Mr and Mrs Njubigbo from Anambra State, in the South-Eastern part of Nigeria. The 39-year-old actress was raised in a Christian home alongside her siblings.

On March 29th, 2014, actress Nuella Njubigbo married the Nigerian movie director, producer, and actor Tchidi Chikere. The couple welcomed their daughter, Tess Tchidi Chikere, on the 2nd of December, 2014. In 2015, they had their court marriage, and three years after their marriage, the couple did their white wedding on the 9th of June, 2018. 

However, seven years after their marriage, reports started surfacing on the internet that Nuella Njubigbo and Tchidi Chikere’s marriage had collapsed, and both parties had unfollowed each other on Instagram. But, the couple came out publicly and denied the rumour.

A month later, the rumour of the dissolution of their marriage came up again, and this time, they acknowledged it was true through their silence. Following the divorce, Nuella changed her Instagram name from “Nuella Njubigbo Chikere” to “Nuella Njubigbo.” She also changed her Instagram bio from “mother and wife” to “Award-winning filmmaker, mum and CEO.”

While addressing a fan who told him he couldn’t keep a marriage for two weeks, Tchidi Chikere revealed that his marriage to Nuella (who was his second wife) was fine until the actress started sneaking out of the house.

Recently, news surfaced online notifying the actress has remarried another man. A video of her and her new husband was seen as they signed their marriage papers during their civil wedding that happened in April 2023 via Instablog.

After graduation, she proceeded to do her mandatory one-year NYSC in 2013.
