Seyi Vodi, who goes by the name Seyi Adekunle was born on the 19th of July in Lagos, Nigeria but hails from Osun State. Seyi comes from a family of many children, as his father has over 50 children. While he did his primary and secondary education in Lagos, where he was born, he moved to the North for his higher education. He did his undergraduate program at the University of Maiduguri, where he studied Geology in 1999. 

After the completion of his undergraduate program in 1999, he moved on to his National Youth Service Program in the early 2000s in Akwa Ibom State. It was there he picked an interest in tailoring.

In 2011, Seyi Vodi got married to his wife, Bunmi Alade-Adekunle, and together, their marriage has been blessed with a girl and two boys, and he currently lives in Abuja with his family.

Seyi Vodi, the fashion entrepreneur, is the chairman and lead designer of the Vodi Group of Companies. A company that designs customized men’s outfits. It all started with a back story that began during his Nysc year in 2000.

During his NYSC year, Seyi picked an interest in tailoring, and it was then he began sewing shirts and boxers for fellow Corp Members. By July 8th, 2001, after NYSC, he had already started his business properly by registering it as Testimony Fabrics. However, he later switched the name to Vodi in 2003.

While managing his growing business after Nysc, he secured a banking job in 2003 after a failed interview in 2002. However, he later quit the job to focus entirely on his growing fashion business. 

Since starting his business, he has grown considerably in his craft and has had the opportunity to create unique designs for A-list Nigerian celebrities like Richard Mofe Damijo (RMD), Ayo Makun (AY Comedy), and many others. 

Through his fashion business, Seyi Vodi has styled several Nollywood stars, providing them with some of the most iconic fashion styles that are still relevant to date. His fashion line is distributed through his business, Vodi Group of companies. Vodi Group of Companies, on the other hand, is founded on an opulent ideology that has enabled it to establish itself as one of the modern apparel for men today. 

His fashion business pays attention to details and silhouettes in its creation process. Seyi Vodi notes that the business line is largely inspired by dimensional patterns and vertical structures for creativity. Currently, his brand designs and tailors outfits for top government officials in the country, including the current Vice President of Nigeria, Kashim Shettima.

Despite starting with the fashion business, he has also gotten involved in other businesses that have made him collaborate with brands and A-list stars like Davido, Kizz Daniel, Ubi Franklin, and Tim Dakolo, amongst others.
