The project was done through Bugatti’s Sur Mesure customisation program as if owning a Bugatti isn’t custom enough. This is the second Pur Sport done in the Gran Prix series and it’s finished in a two tone Matte black and grey paint job.
Powering this Chiron is the familiar 8.0L Quad Turbo W16 making 1,500HP. The difference is the redline is new 200RPM higher at 6,900RPM, 15% closer gear ratios in the updated gearbox too. It also gets a 110lb diet and somehow can do a 37MPH to 75MPH run 2 sec faster than a normal Chiron. 0-60 under 2.3 sec, 0-124MPH in 5.9sec, 0-186MPH in 12.4sec.. crazy times! Top Speed is limited to 217MPH as this car is focused on handling, downforce and track performance.
The sides feature numbers and there also is an incredible matte black painted checker finish on the front fenders. The iconic number ‘32’ is used to great effect, connecting the past with the present, with the same number having adorned Chiron’s winning BUGATTI Type 51 that took first place in the 1931 French Grand Prix in Monaco.
Oh and did I mention the 32 is HAND PAINTED on? Inside is a black leather and Alcantara bath with some orange accents. Of the total run of 500 Chirons, 60 were Pur Sport versions.
The bespoke hyper sports car, whose configuration is inspired by the renowned racing driver Louis Chiron, is unveiled to the public at the exclusive luxury automobile show in the heart of Monaco.
