He explained: “Now, Tesla owners will probably deny that this level of panel gap accuracy and overall build quality is even possible, but it is a Lexus. We are working to tolerances of a 1,000th of a millimetre.
“Honestly, forget Mercedes-Benz or even Rolls-Royce and Bentley. The only other car that we’ve ever come across with a higher tolerance of fit and finish is the Toyota Century, but this one comes extremely close.”
Getting inside the car, Adam highlighted that Lexus researched various experts to make sure that elements of the interior such as the wood and leather were durable and looked attractive.
He continued: “Look, everything in here just exudes immense quality. Actually, a fun fact, for all of the woodgrain that you can see, Lexus and Toyota went to high-end makers of guitars to hone their woodworking skills and get this exactly right.
“For each piece of wood, it took three weeks to sand and stain properly and it all came from the same tree, so it matches perfectly across each individual car. Lexus also went to manufacturers of high-end watches to get all the switch gear right and to make the leather more resilient.”
An overview of a USED 20-year-old Lexus LS
The 2004 Lexus LS benefits from substantial engineering upgrades 2004 that significantly improved what was already a superb luxury car. It’s quicker and more sophisticated than last year’s model.
The 2004 Lexus LS is everything a flagship luxury sedan should be. Its ride is silky and its steering is liquid smooth. Inside is a beautiful interior with rich wood accents and buttery soft leather, seats so comfortable that you never think about them, and controls that are a paragon of ergonomic excellence. Lexus provides every convenience feature imaginable. Finding failings in this car devolves into whining about bland styling or nitpicking about the lack of inconsequential features such as being able to grind the starter when the engine is running. In other words, the Lexus LS 430 plays its role to near perfection. That role is of a smooth, luxurious sedan that whisks occupants along in supreme comfort, allowing the driver to concentrate on other, more pressing matters than the automobile.
