He joined the Afrobeat music space, focusing his music on Afrofusion songs. He blends Hip Hop, Amapiano, R&B, and Fuji sounds to create music that stands out from other artists. 

Asake started working as a backup singer for Broda Shaggi’s band, performing at shows and events across the country. He later collaborated with Broda Shaggi to release the single “Star” in 2019. The song did well in the market, but it was the first time many people got to know him. Encouraged by this, he decided to release his first single in 2020. 

His break out in the industry was with the release of the single, Lady. He promoted this song through advertisements with Sydney Talker, Tunde Ednut, NastyBlaq, and Broda Shaggi. The song went viral, leading him to drop the next hit song, Mr Money, which also gained him a new nickname—Mr. Money. He later rose to the limelight after being signed to YBNL Records by the record boss, Olamide. Other songs that increased his popularity were Mr Money and Sungba

In 2022 Asake dropped another single, “Omo Ope.” The song immediately went viral; it got to the ears of many rappers and music executives. Shortly after this, Olamide signed him to YBNL Records, and he was unveiled as a YBNL signee on the 8th of February, 2022.

After this, Asake released his debut EP, “Ololade Asake.” The music project contains four hit tracks—Omo Ope, Sungba, Trabaye, and Baba God. He later performed “Baba God” at a live session organized by Glitch Africa in February 2022.

He collaborated with Burna Boy and released a remix for Sungba on the 28th of March, 2022; he has topped the music charts for several weeks. Since then, Asake has released several hit songs, with many of his fans swooning. Some of his songs include;

However, he never lost his desire to breakthrough through Yoruba rap music.

He released a hit track last year titled Zazu zeh where he featured Olamide and Poco Lee. The word ‘Zazu’ is derived from a female name of Hebrew origin meaning “Movement.”
