A recent video that appeared online shows the moment a man drove through a one-way lane in Lagos and was immediately caught by officers. However, the officers committed the same crime while trying to catch the driver.
To stop the driver, the officers also had to follow the same one-way lane to block the driver from moving forward.
The video was posted online by the social media page @carcontinent, which was wondering if the officers still have the right to arrest the driver after they committed the same crime.

@thekingmanofficial commented: “Is there a sign where people can see that it’s one way?”
@naijaluxuryautos commented: ‘This isn’t about being careful, people intentionally cut like that to avoid the speed bump… It’s just lack of responsibility… Stay on your lane, slow down and climb the bump. Slowing down there isn’t gonna mean you will be late by 1hr…”
@lanresings commented: “There are so many road traps in Lagos.. no sign on some streets and they are one way. How will anyone who doesn’t stay in that area know ?”
@manlike_kayc commented: “There should be signs now. I mean what if people who came from abroad or aren’t from Nigeria make this simple mistake? These people just looking for reasons to extort everyone”
@omelly_jnr commented: “Omo I dey do this steady cause I hate that bump ehhh Omo 😢”
