Femi Otedola is a Nigerian businessman and philanthropist, born on November 4, 1962, in Ibadan, Nigeria. He is the founder and former chairman of Forte Oil Plc, an integrated energy company that operates in the downstream sector of the Nigerian oil and gas industry. Otedola started his career as a student at Obafemi Awolowo University, where he studied Philosophy, Politics, and Economics.

After completing his studies, he ventured into the business world and established his own company, Zenon Petroleum and Gas Ltd, in 2003. He later acquired a controlling stake in African Petroleum (now known as Forte Oil), and under his leadership, the company grew significantly, becoming one of the largest players in Nigeria’s downstream oil and gas sector.
