Unless your documents are complete, you won’t be issued a driver’s license in Nigeria. Below is a list of the required documents:
- Driving school certificate
- Learner’s permit
- VIO Test certificate
- Birth certificate/Age declaration.

How To Get a Driver License In Lagos:

Apply for a new driver’s licence
- Use this option if you are applying for a licence for the first time.
Prerequisite
- Applicants must be 18 years and above. Applicant must have completed driving school.
Driver’s Licence Process
- Complete the driver’s licence application form online.
- Visit VIO for a driving test.
- Pay the licence fee online or at the Bank.
- Confirm payment at the State BIR Office.
- Proceed to the FRSC Officer at the DLC for biometric data capture.

The Digital Driver’s Licence is the digital version of your physical Driver’s Licence (physical card). It is available on your smartphone through various app stores.

The Digital Driver Licence is available offline as long as you are logged into the app. You’ll be required to use your PIN at all times to access your licence.
