The Paramount Marauder is bulletproofed and mine-resistant. The entire body of the vehicle is double-skinned, making it resistant to IEDs and mines. The entire Monocoque is bulletproof as well.
You’ll find anti-blast seats to protect occupants from the forces of blasts or attacks.
Some changes have been made in the dashboard area from the first model. The new dashboard comes with a fascinating revolutionary look.
Paramount Group says the new Marauder is fitted with a “universal hull,” meaning the entire dashboard is interchangeable. This will make it easy to convert the vehicle from left-hand to right-hand drive.
This is an important feature considering the vehicle is widely used by armed forces across Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia, and South East Asia.
The vehicle has a new six-cylinder turbo diesel engine under the hood. It claims a top speed of 110km/h (68mph). It’s not bad for a vehicle weighing 9500kg.
The company notes that it can operate in all conditions. An available night vision system makes surveillance work or attacks possible at any time of day.
The vehicle is either an armoured personnel carrier, ambulance, fire support, or command vehicle. This vehicle has practically all the exterior features required for military purposes.
Although they’ve not announced pricing yet, the Marauder Mark 2 was believed to cost around $485,000. So, the new one is expected to be priced around $500,000.
