The new custom-made McLaren P1 is no other but the brainchild of Lazante, the british automotive company that specializes in refurbishing classic cars and also participating in auto racing. This explains why they took interest in McLaren’s P1 car, and made a custom version of it with only 5 units to be sold to buyers.
The reveal of this custom-made Mclaren P1was at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, one of the world’s motoring meccas. The event returned in 2022 and was held in Goodwood House in West Sussex, England.
The event is usually a summer party where everything concerning classic race cars to rare modern exotic cars are displayed, while others race on hills.

Concerning the custom-made car, Lazante Limited has said it created the P1 Spider to be “even more engaging.”
It won’t be a one-off either, as the company is planning to build a limited run of only five units of the car.
For the conversion of the McLaren P1, Lazante turned to Paul Howse, the man who originally designed the original lines of the P1.
Removing the roof of P1 wasn’t an easy task because the P1’s air intake is a snorkel that sits atop it.
Because of that, the changes done to the car extends far beyond the open-air cockpit, with the doors, front fenders, and rear engine cover all altered.
You’ll find a pair of buttresses sitting behind the P1 Spider’s two seats, with these now acting as the air intakes from the V8’s two turbochargers.
The interior of the P1 has also been updated using materials that are better suited to handling the sun and other elements.
Another part of the famous McLaren P1 that has been altered is the P1’s bodywork but the engine and performance remains unchanged from the coupé.
With the conversion of the P1 by Lazante Limited, it’s still unclear how much the cost. But, there’s the possibility that it’ll be sold for millions of dollars.
