Master KG started his musical career at the tender age of 13 when he began making beats using a small computer which was gifted to him by his uncle.
In 2018 and for a large part of 2019, no one knew Master KG. At least, I didn’t know him. His big break came in 2020 via the hit single ‘Jerusalema’ which was released in December 2019. It will be safe to refer to this song as the song of the 2020 pandemic because it was the song BBC said ‘united the world through its choreography during the lockdown’. As of the time this article is being written, this song has amassed half a billion views and 500 million views on YouTube.

The 26-year-old musician has since then gone ahead to release more songs. He is married to Queen Lolly. As one of the fastest-rising musicians in South Africa, Master KG currently has a net worth of over $1 million to $2 million.
Master KG Cars
It’s common knowledge that fame comes along with all things nice. Let’s check out the cars music star Master KG has.
- FERRARI FF
The ‘Jerusalema’ singer bought this car to celebrate when the song hit over 100 million views in 2020.
The Ferrari FF is a grand touring car. FF stands for Ferrari Four, with the “Four” signifying four seats and the first application of four-wheel drive in the company’s long history.
The FF does zero to 60 mph in less than 3.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 208 mph, according to Ferrari.
The FF’s four seats come in the form of snug sport buckets that are bisected by a tall console that runs the length of the cabin. The seats incorporate magnesium, one of many expensive materials employed to minimise weight. Virtually every surface is covered in leather. The FF incorporates more controls on the face of its steering wheel than almost any car, including major performance adjustments for the chassis and drivetrain, along with wiper controls, turn signals and engine start.
The cars cost over $300,000.
- MERCEDES BENZ AMG GLC 63
Master KG bought this car as a valentine’s day gift for his ex-girlfriend Makhadzi.
GLC63 runs on a potent power plant of a twin-turbo 4.0-litre V-8 good for 469 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque.
The GLC63 has a modern and attractive interior. A floating touchscreen hovers above the centre stack, giving the cabin a modern look. One drawback is that at high speed, a fair amount of tire noise makes its way into the interior. It’s easy to get comfortable within the cabin, and the rear seats provide lots of legroom. Both models have 17.6 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats.
This car costs $60,000.
- PORSCHE
The 4.0 naturally aspirated engine has replaced the previous model’s turbocharged 2.5-litre four-cylinder. Power swells from 361bhp to 395bhp, but more than just an injection of extra performance, the switch completely transforms the car’s character.
The suspension is firm, but rather than crash and fidget over rougher surfaces, the excellent damping nicely rounds off bumps and ruts other sports cars would make a meal of. It means the Boxster flows with the road beneath it rather than fighting against it.
This allows you to really explore and exploit the Boxster’s wonderful chassis. The steering is ever so smooth, nicely weighted and responds to your every input. Even on damp roads, there’s a lot of grip from the front end, while the brakes provide excellent stopping power.
This car is being sold at a whopping $92,400.
- Mercedes-Benz A45S AMG
Any discussion on the Mercedes-AMG A45 S is inevitably peppered with hot hatch superlatives: its new 2,0-litre powertrain is the world’s most powerful series-production four-cylinder engine; its claimed 0-100 km/h sprint time dips under four seconds; it could cost more than a million rand when it launches in South Africa in October.
Revealed in 2013 to much whoopla about, you guessed it, the world’s most powerful series-production four-cylinder (265 kW), the original A45 quickly asserted its dominance among hot hatches. As is their habit, however, the German brands engaged in a ruthless power war and Audi finally unleashed an RS3 with 294 kW, besting the facelifted AMG A45’s figure by 14 kW.
CONCLUSION
It is obvious that Master KG hasn’t reached the peak of his career yet as there is definitely more ahead of the musician. We hope to see his garage expand as he grows bigger in the music scene.
