Usually, when big-name car brands or car brands that specialize in building supercars unveil a car, it takes a little more time before production and design are completed and such car is delivered to the customers who had paid upfront for them. These types of cars often have limited slots and the Bugatti Centodieci is not left out. It was an immediate sell-out before it was even announced.

This supercar was first shown at Monterey Car Week 2019, the brand announced during the show that only 10 units of the cars will be built and all 10 cars were snapped up immediately by buyers. But, it’s looking like it has taken the first customer almost 3 years to finally get their hands on the car.
During the show, each of the cars was priced at 8 million Euros—$8.36 million based on the current exchange rate.
It also looks like one of the customers that snapped one unit of the Bugatti Centodieci is a Japanese dealership. Earlier this year, that Japanese dealership listed one of the Bugatti Centodieci for sale at a whopping $14 million.

An interesting thing about this Bugatti that all 10 customers snapped immediately is that it has the same W16 engine as the Chiron, but the handling package has been specifically tuned to give the Centodieci a unique feel from behind the wheel.
Relationship Between The Bugatti Centodieci & The EB110
What most people don’t know about this latest Bugatti collection is that it is designed in homage to the French brand’s original hypercar from the 1990s, the EB110.
This first customer car produced is the perfect spec that is to pay homage to the EB110.
Based on the Chiron underneath, this first produced Centodieci comes painted in ‘EB110 Blue.’
An interesting thing about the colour of this first customer Bugatti Centodieci is that not only is this the signature colour of the EB110, but it’s also the colour of the Bugatti factory it was made in.
Another semblance you’ll realize is that the wheels have the same Sport Silver paint as those that are on the EB110.
An EB110 prototype broke pricing records for the model earlier this year, selling for $2.1 million at an auction by RM Sotheby at Amelia Island Florida.
Centodieci’s homage to EB110 is a way of addressing some remodifying designs from the car that was produced in the 90s. In an interview by Top Gear in 2019, Bugatti’s head of design, Achim Anscheidt pointed out that, “we faced a number of technical challenges in terms of development and design of the Centodieci.” These technical challenges could have resulted due to the brand’s quest to recreate something that brings to mind the 90s EB110.
