A 22-year-old suspect, Joseph Emmanuel Oluwaseun has been arrested by the Police at the Marino Division, Lekki, Lagos.
The suspect allegedly stole a Toyota Camry at midnight from the spot it was parked at Quilox Club, Victoria Island, Lagos.
This operation was led and achieved by the Divisional Police Officer, DPO in charge of Maroko Division, Lekki, CSP Raji Ganiyu who led his crack team to arrest the 22-year-old suspect.

However, the stolen car was recovered from the suspect in the Bariga area of Lagos while he was allegedly looking for a buyer.
The police noted that this incident occurred on the 27th of May, 2022 when the suspect allegedly stole a bag belonging to the complainant, Ihediomma Chiamaka inside the Club at midnight.
He removed the car key from her bag and used it to steal her Toyota Camry with the registration number LSD 989 HF valued at 3.6 million Naira.
The police noted that when the complainant could not find her handbag, she sensed the presence of danger and went to check on her car, only to discover that it was missing.
She quickly reported the theft and the DPO swiftly embarked on a search.
However, a few days ago, Oluwaseun, a resident of 6, Adeleye Street, Ifako, Gbagada, Lagos was charged with theft before the Tinubu Magistrate’s Court, Lagos on a two-count charge bordering on stealing.
The Police Counsel, Reuben Solomon told the Court in the charge marked P/12/2022 that the defendant committed the offence at Quilox Club located at Ozumba Mbadiwe Road, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Reuben Solomon informed the court that the defendant cleverly stole the complainant’s handbag inside the club and removed the car key from inside the bag, using it to steal the car from the spot it was parked before his arrest at Bariga through tracking.
He also noted that the offences committed by the defendant were punishable under sessions 287(10) and 168(d) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
However, the defendant pleaded not guilty to the charges and the Magistrate, Mr O.S Abioye granted him
a 1 million Naira bail with two sureties in like sum.
The Magistrate also adjourned the case till 14th June, 2022 for mention and ordered that the defendant be kept at the Ikoyi Correctional Facility till he perfected the bail conditions.
