The Honda Crosstour is one of Honda’s line of luxury cars. It was initially called the Accord CrossTour. Compared to other brands in the mid-size wagon categories the Honda Accord has somewhat better engineering, more refined. This may be due to Honda’s much longer history of producing cars. The Honda Crosstour was launched in 2009. Since its launch, the Crosstour has continued to retain its great love from car lovers in Nigeria and all over the world. Time flies but the Crosstour vehicle is still a worthy car to buy with constantly improved conveniences and designs that promise to satisfy the demand of buyers.

The models available in Nigeria range from the 2010 model to the 2015 model. This is because the brand decided to stop its production due to commercial reasons but rumour has it that there is a Honda Accord 2020 in the works which will be released soon.
The Honda Crosstour is also part sedan and part SUV/CUV but with a twist — it’s fun to drive. That part comes through loud and clear, the vehicle is based on the eighth-generation Accord and is not related to the MDX-based Acura ZDX.

One of the fun parts of the Crosstour is under the hood. It carries the Honda’s popular 3.5-litre V^ iVTEC engine with 271 horsepower and 254 pound-feet of torque. This is more than enough engine power. Honda also employed a fuel consumption strategy by featuring a variable cylinder management system. This shuts down two or three of the six cylinders depending upon engine load. This strategy cuts fuel consumption to 11.5 litres per 100km in city driving and 7.2 litres per 100 km on the expressway.
But shutting down cylinders can cause some sound in the cabin. Yes, it can. However, the cross tour uses an active engine mount system and active noise cancellation in order to counter the unseemly resonance that may result from shutting down cylinders.
The final part of Crosstour’s personality is its versatility. The back seat has enough headroom for a six-footer as well as a ton of legroom. It is also wide enough to accommodate three adults as long as they don’t mind being friendly and sharing foot space (there is a fairly large central tunnel intrusion). This makes it a perfect choice for both family and individual uses.
Price of brand new Honda Crosstour
Brand new Honda Crosstour is not being sold at the moment as production of this Wagon was discontinued in 2016 because they weren’t selling in enough volume to justify their continued existence. No great mystery. As mentioned before rumours have it that CrossTour 2020 is currently being built. When it is released, only then can one get a brand new Honda Crosstour.

Price list of Nigerian Used (Tokunbo) Honda Crosstour
As expected most Nigerian used Honda Crosstour are slightly cheaper than tokunbo ones. This is due to the fact that Nigerian used cars are foreign Tokunbo cars that have been used locally. In our local parlance, they are called 3rd hand or 4th hand cars. One of the major factors behind this is that there will be no shipping or clearing cost attached since that has been covered by the importer or the previous owner.
