History Of Production Of Isuzu Cars
Isuzu cars have been known to trail blazes in the world of Japanese automobiles since 1916. This was when two companies, namely Tokyo Gas and Electric Industrial Co., and Tokyo Ishikawajima Shipbuilding and Engineering Co. decided to tie up and venture into automobile production. Six years later, Wolseley model A-9, Japan’s first in-country developed automobile, was produced. The beginning of the name Isuzu was first coined when a Ministry of Trade and Industry quality model car was introduced. The name was after the landmark in the ISE Shrine area called the ISUZU River.

There was a huge demand for commercial vehicles in Japan following World War II. Isuzu trucks were a huge hit back then as people needed to transport all kinds of products, materials and food. From then on, Isuzu has already caught the spark in the bonfire of the automobile world.
At present, Isuzu motors are known mostly for trucks of all sizes and uses, but during the late 1990s, Isuzu cars, including sedans and compact cars, were dropped as their sales plunged but before the diesel-engine era boomed, Isuzu took their cars back to the spotlight.
Presently, they have already created a wide array of automobile kinds like passenger vehicles and SUVs, commercial vehicles, race cars, concept cars, and buses. By 2009, Isuzu had already produced over 21 million diesel engines distributed around the world. Their top-of-the-line diesel is being used by big companies like General Motors and Renault-Nissan Alliance. Through decades of practice and development, Isuzu cars are already considered as one of the most highly purchased automobile manufacturers in existence. One of their latest SUV, the Isuzu D-MAX, is now taking roads, and catching the attention of many.

Isuzu Concept X
Just by looking at this vehicle, the truck seems to be perfectly suited for off-roading adventures. Created with great help from Isuzu Ute Australia and Toyo tires, EMG almost managed to turn the popular D-MAX truck and the MU-X SUV into proper monster trucks. It seems that EMG did not experiment with different setups for this vehicle. In fact, both of these trucks have the same basic layout with additions like the 7-inch lift kit. This alone, in conjunction with massive tires, increased the ground clearance to an amazing 370 millimetres. It comes with powerful 3.0-litre 4JJ turbo diesel engines linked with a six-speed automatic transmission. This three-litre develops 180 horsepower and 330 pound-feet of torque.
Isuzu D-Max
The D-Max is not a luxurious pickup truck by any means and there is not a single soft surface on any of the trim materials inside because it is all hard plastic and there is not any colour touches anywhere. But it certainly looks durable and is actually surprisingly practical with plenty of storage spaces, large door bins with cup holders. It also feels quite spacious and airy inside. Overall comfort levels are about average, and since it has leaf springs at the back, the rear will sometimes skip over bumps if there is not anything in the bed to weigh it down. But the driving position and the seats themselves are quite good and the view is also okay, and many miles can be covered with minimal backache in the D-Max. It comes with a new 1.9-litre four-cylinder engine that replaces the older 2.5-litre diesel. Although the D-Max is not much more refined, it makes the same 163 metric horsepower as the old one, but it also loses 29 pound-feet of torque, yet even so, so performance does not appear to have taken a significant hit.
Isuzu Dmax Arctic Trucks At35
The main features of this vehicle include 35-inch Nokian Rotiiva AT Tires on black 17-inch rims, Fox Performance Series Suspension, Flared Wheel Arch Extensions as well as Extended Profile Side Steps. The exterior look is completed by the Arctic Trucks Chrome Badge & Decal Set, but it also needs a proper roof rack to complete the look, it is not offered on the Isuzu, but Arctic Trucks does sell it separately. The 1.9-litre engine is untouched, making 163 metric horsepower, but buyers can choose either a manual or automatic six-speed transmission.
Isuzu D-Max Workman+ Double Cab
Isuzu has not done much in terms of appearance and aesthetics. The truck still comes with the same aggressive looks as the standard utility cab. The swept-back headlamps with the black plastic bumper still retain the workhorse looks the cabs have always had. The Workman+ edition comes in two new exterior shades which are Cosmic Black Mica and Sapphire Blue Mica, apart from the standard Splash White, Titanium Silver Metallic, and Obsidian Grey Mica. The side profile looks similar as well, other than the 18-inch alloys exclusive to the Workman+ edition. This edition also brings along a pair of side steps that are functional and add a lot of character to the truck. Not the best design, but no one is complaining.
The vehicle comes with a 1.9-litre four-cylinder engine that produces 162 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque. The torque is actually quite sufficient and lets you pull heavy loads from a standstill very easily. The truck takes 12.7 seconds from 0 mph to 60 mph and tops out at 112 miles per hour. The best part about this engine is its efficiency. It delivers up to 40.4 miles per gallon, combined.
Isuzu D-Max Xtr
Isuzu decided to expand into the off-road segment as well. So, in 2019, the company launched the XTR trim for the D-Max that catered to off-road enthusiastic drivers. To make sure the product’s hype did not go down, Isuzu decided to release a new Colour Edition for the model that featured cosmetic upgrades inside and out. From what it is worth, the aesthetic update certainly adds a nice touch to the truck. The body kit is designed to give the truck a premium appearance. The front bumper guard, bonnet protector, and headlight frames are painted and they now match the truck’s exterior shade. The fog light surrounds and the grille remains black.
The Isuzu D-Max is offered with a 1.9-litre, four-cylinder engine that produces 162 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque. The torque is quite sufficient and lets you pull heavy loads from a standstill rather easily. The truck takes 12.7 seconds from a standstill to 60 mph and tops out at 112 miles per hour.
