Prices Of Jaguar Cars In Nigeria, Review and Buying Guide

Jaguar is a luxury vehicle brand of the Jaguar Land Rover, which is a British multinational car manufacturer headquartered in Whitley, Coventry, England. Jaguar Cars were the company that was responsible for producing Jaguar cars until its operations were fully merged with those of Land Rover to form Jaguar Land Rover on 1st of January, 2013.

Jaguar has been making luxurious athletic sports cars and sedans for more than 100 years but they more recently added crossovers and SUVs that continue to perpetuate these trademark attributes. While models such as the mid-size XF sedan and the hot-bodied F-type sports car cater to wealthier customers, alternatives such as the entry-luxury XE sedan and subcompact E-Pace crossover allow mainstream consumers to join the company’s exclusive club. The fashionable I-Pace represents its first pure-electric vehicle and it is a blast to drive.

Overview Of Jaguar Cars

Jaguar F-Type

The Jaguar F-Type has a classically beautiful body and V8-only engine options. It is a throwback sports car of sorts. Unlike other car models such as the Chevy Corvette or the Porsche 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman, the Jaguar’s power plant is at the front of the driver rather than behind them. This gives the F-type dramatic proportions and an altogether different driving experience.

The thrilling sound of its supercharged 5.0-litre V8, makes it produce between 444 and 575 horsepower, which is another distinction. While the Jaguar does not stop, go, and grip as short, quick, and strong as its peers, both the coupe and convertible will still excite the senses. Unfortunately, its upscale cabin is claustrophobic and drop-top models have smaller storage space than the already cramped coupes. The F-type also has a higher starting price than its classmates, but perhaps its elegance and old-school charm are enough to offset that disparity.

Jaguar E-Pace

The Jaguar E-Pace is the British brand’s attempt to seduce younger buyers seeking a small crossover with a luxury pedigree. While Jaguar’s reputation was born from sedans that shuttle society’s richest members, it now profits from SUVs such as the mid-size F-Pace.

The tinier E-Pace exists below the F and competes with subcompact rival vehicles such as the BMW X2 and Volvo XC40. The turbo-four-powered, all-wheel-drive Jaguar is not as quick, fuel-efficient, or practical as those two or most of its peers, for that matter. Its cargo area and back seat do not fall in the big category, but its cockpit is driver-focused and available with desirable features. The E-Pace is pricier than most of its mates and not as classy, but its exclusiveness and stylishness might offset some of those compromises.

Jaguar F-Pace

Some SUVs are built to be practical, some are built to be fun to drive but the Jaguar F-Pace is one that manages to succeed at offering both traits. It is inspired by the lovely F-Type sports car and it stands out amongst its rivals such as the Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz compact SUVs. A trio of powertrains are offered to start with the base 246-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder P250 and culminating in the refined and powerful 395-horsepower turbo- and-supercharged inline-six P400 model. The F-Pace’s interior has all the trappings of a modern luxury car, including fine materials, cutting-edge infotainment tech, and a host of driver-assistance features.

Jaguar F-Pace Svr

The Jaguar F-Pace SVR has a strikingly styled and perfectly posh exterior and stands out in its class of compact-luxury SUVs for its beauty but its party trick is its 550-horsepower V8 engine and roaring exhaust note. While other performance-oriented SUVs such as the Porsche Macan GTS and the BMW X3 M offer even sharper, more focused driving dynamics to accompany their souped-up engines, the F-Pace SVR has a softer bearing which makes it more agreeable as a daily driver. The only problem is that the Jaguar’s handling is not as thrilling as several of its rivals. Inside this British confection, the cabin is fit for a Royal, with fine materials including gorgeous quilted leather upholstery and a host of tech features featuring a large 11.4-inch infotainment touchscreen and an 11-speaker Meridian stereo system.

Jaguar I-Pace

The Jaguar I-Pace is a fascinating all-electric crossover that looks good and drives well on the road. Its luxury designation and price will limit its mainstream popularity, but there is no denying that the I-Pace’s futuristic facade captures the imagination. This vehicle boasts a fuel economy range of 253 miles plus fast-charging capability and instantaneous acceleration. The I-Pace also handles more like a sports car than a five-seat crossover, with its controlled demeanour and tactile steering. Inside, the Jaguar shows off with the cutting-edge design, ample passenger space, and popular features. Although it fell short of its claimed driving range in our real-world test and was slow to charge using a common outlet, the I-Pace proves that vehicles can be electrifying in other ways.

Jaguar Xf

The Jaguar XF is a satisfying luxury sedan that is actually more affordable than many of its upper-crust competitors. Unlike the Jaguar, neither the Audi A6 nor BMW 5-Series has a price tag that starts with a four, which makes the XF a strong value proposition. Less strong is its turbo four-cylinder engine, which is the only available engine that was provided. The high-output version tops out at 296 horsepower and pairs exclusively with all-wheel drive, but it still fails to feel as quick or refined as the six-cylinder engine offered by its German rivals. Even though, the Jaguar has a graceful ride and can make any driver happy when a ribbon of the road presents itself. The XF also lives up to its premium pedigree, particularly inside, where rich materials and tech features abound.

Jaguar J-Pace

The Jaguar J-pace fills an obvious gap in the Jaguar lineup. The J-Pace will take on premium mid-sized SUVs such as the BMW X5, Porsche Cayenne and Mercedes-Benz GLE-class, but it is expected it offers more seductive styling than its rivals. Little is known about the J-Pace but it could be the vehicle that launches the brand’s new inline-six-cylinder engine and will almost certainly offer an electrified version, be that a full EV or a plug-in hybrid powertrain.

Jaguar Xe

The Jaguar XE hit the market for 2017 with good looks and athletic moves which had it vying to be favourite in the small-luxury-sedan segment. It drives well but drivers will miss the XE’s strong 380-horsepower V6 that is no longer available for the 2020 model. What is left are two turbo four-cylinders, an entry-level P250 model with 247 horsepower or a P300 with 296 horsepower, which is not class-leading in either performance or efficiency, and its small back seat and trunk hinder the XE on the practicality front. A substantial update adds upgraded interior materials and additional features but still leaves the XE vying for mid-pack status.

The Jaguar XJ is a series of full-size luxury cars that are produced by the British automobile manufacturer, Jaguar Cars. It was produced across five basic platform generations (beginning in 1968, 1986, 1994, 2003 and 2009) with various updated derivatives of each. From 1970 it was Jaguar’s flagship four-door model. The original model was the last Jaguar saloon to have had the input of Sir William Lyons, the company’s founder, and the model has been featured in countless media and high-profile appearances. It is one of the most popular Jaguar brands in the world.

Buying Guide For Jaguar Cars In Nigeria

The following are things you need to know about Jaguar cars before you step behind the wheels:

  1. V8 engine: Fans of the brand declare that the Jaguar is the best car to buy used or brand new, maybe because you can get a pre-owned modem with a V8 engine for about the same price as a new Honda Civic.
  2. Cost: The Jaguar is not as expensive as expected but some versions come in expensive prices for higher class buyers. Even still, an average person can still get a good version of the Jaguar at a reasonable price.
  3. The Luxury Brand: It should be known that Jaguar is among the top five vehicles with the highest repair costs. The only way to know for sure if a Jaguar model is the right vehicle for you is to drive it for yourself. If luxury and performance are more important than cost, then you may have found your perfect vehicle match.
