At least three individuals have been confirmed killed, and an unknown number of people are still trapped after a 21-story building fell on Gerald Road in Ikoyi, Lagos State, on Monday.

According to accounts, Mr Olufemi Adegoke Osibona, a well-known Nigerian developer, was among those killed in the wreckage. Osibona, the MD of Fourscore Homes, was purportedly on a visit to the construction site when the event occurred.

A photo of Femi Osibona’s Royce Rolls Cullinan parked on the side of the road went viral a year ago.

The luxurious SUV apparently broke down and was abandoned for days on Alexander Road in Ikoyi, according to the description accompanying the photo.

According to the narrative, the police officers in the police van (also seen in the photo) had been hired to secure the vehicle for the owner.

The allegation was disproved by Dele Momodu, publisher of Ovation Magazine, who revealed that the Cullinan belonged to a real estate magnate who parked in front of his building site.
