Even though it gets a high mark for its practicality, other SUVs are better off being more attractive, upscale and fun to drive.

The five-seater 2011 model is equipped with either a 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine or a 3.5-litre V6 engine.

The four-cylinder Santa Fe has a fuel economy rating of 20 mpg city run and 28 mpg highway run which is great for its class, while the V6 engine has a fuel economy rating of 20 mpg city run and 26 mpg highway run. Also included are a six-speed automatic transmission and standard front-wheel drive while an all-wheel drive is available. The 2012 model is the last model year before the redesign.

The base Santa Fe Sport has a direct-injected four-cylinder engine that produces 190 horsepower. The Sport models also come with a turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 264-horsepower. All the trims are equipped with a six-speed automatic transmission and a front-wheel-drive which is standard, while all-wheel drive is available

Cargo space is solid in the 2-row Sport and more than acceptable in the 3-row Santa Fe.

Hyundai Santa Fe Buying Guide in Nigeria

The following is the buying guide for the Hyundai Santa Fe in Nigeria. They include;

  1. BUDGET: Budgeting still remains at the top of any buying guide because without budgeting you cannot know if you will be able to purchase the stuff you intend on getting. The Hyundai Santa Fe is not so costly but it still needs to be budgeted for.
  2. BUY FROM A RELIABLE CAR STORE: There are some fake car dealers in Nigeria and if you are unfortunate enough to purchase any car from them, you will end up having a car that has too many faults in just a few weeks after purchasing it. Therefore, you should ensure that the place you purchase the car from is a reliable car store.
