In 2016, news spread that the two have decided to go their separate ways and do their things independently. In 2017, they both continued music separately and rendered P-square defunct.
After this separation, Paul Okoye stuck with the name “Rude Boy” and he is also sometimes referred to as “King Rudy”.

Paul Okoye was born on Wednesday, 18th November 1981 into the Okoye family. He is a native of Anambra State, Nigeria., however, he was born in Jos, the capital of Plateau state Nigeria. Paul Okoye was born into the family of seven children.
