Mini, a British automotive brand founded in 1969, and owned by German automotive company BMW since 2000 has revealed the 2025 Cooper with a good old combustion engine. The new design is sleek and looks more premium than ever with minimal visible weather stripping and shut lines, something Range Rover did on their new flagship.
The 2025 Cooper should debut before the end of 2024 and go on sale in early 2025 in Nigeria as a 2025 model-year vehicle.
The base Cooper C uses a 1.5L Turbo 3 cylinder making 154HP and 170 lb-ft of torque to the front wheels with 0-60MPH in 7.7 seconds. Then the Cooper S comes with a 2.0L Turbo 4 making 201HP and 221 lb-ft of torque, 0-60MPH in 6.6 seconds. A JCW is coming soon.

The interior is also the same as the EV with a 9.4in OLED display and there are still physical buttons. Mini intends to launch a convertible version of the latest Cooper, along with a more practical five-door hatchback, But this will be the last lineup of gas Mini coopers. The new Cooper C and Cooper S will be made in Oxford, UK, unlike the EV variants which are made in China by Spotlight Automotive, a joint venture between BMW Group and Great Wall Motor. The EV version will then be made in the UK by 2026.
