Tame is one of the last words you may come across when talking about Kia, but this 2025 K5 facelift is sleeker and a bit more grown-up than before. Kia opted for a mildly redesigned head and taillights with updated LED graphics.
The best changes are under the hood. The K5 GT will continue to use a 2.5L Turbo inline-4 making 290HP and 311 lb-ft of torque to the front wheels through an 8-speed DCT.
The standard K5 GT replaces the 1.6L Turbo 4 cylinder with a naturally aspirated 2.5L 4 cylinder making 11 HP more but losing torque. It makes 191HP and 181 lb-ft of torque. The base engine can now be had with AWD or FWD through an 8-speed auto.
There also are new colours such as Matte Grey and Wolf Gray along with new wheel options. Inside also is refreshed with dual 12.3in displays along with OTA updates, a fingerprint authentication system, and a 12-speaker audio system. There also is a new A/C control panel and a smaller gearbox shifter. Under the skin is a revised suspension as well.
