The 2022 Mercedes Benz C-Class now primarily comes with a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, The all-new 2022 model will continue to be built on a rear-drive platform and will offer all-wheel drive as an option. It can also turn the engine off while coasting, which should result in reduced fuel consumption compared to last year’s model. A nine-speed automatic transmission sends power to the rear wheels, with Mercedes’ 4Matic all-wheel drive available as an option. Even though the new C-class’s styling isn’t a huge departure from the 2021 model, the 2022 model year marks the start of a new generation with more luxury and a greater number of high-tech features. We expect to see the redesigned C-class in Mercedes dealerships by the end of 2022.
The standard trims now come with three main options, RWD or AWD, and an optional AMG Line styling package. The three trims sound like they are from Cadillac now and go like this: Premium, Exclusive, and then Pinnacle. Standard is the 12.3in the digital cluster and 11.9in infotainment screen, heated front seats, a sunroof, 18in wheels, LED lights, and more. As every C Class will now have a 4 cylinder, a nicely optioned Premium can go a long way.
It also provides 20HP and 148 lb-ft of torque in a temporary boost mode. It can be had in RWD or AWD 4 Matic form now capable to send more power to the front wheels. The only gearbox is the 9 speed. 0-60 happens in 5.9sec.
2022 Mercedes Benz C-Class Interior
The interior is a tech-savvy space with a clear watering down from the just revealed new S Class and loads of design from Volvo. The centre is an 11.9 MBUX screen tilted 6° to the driver. The most dramatic change for the C-class comes in the form of a new high-tech cabin. The new model sports a steering wheel that looks similar to that of the redesigned S-class sedans, and Mercedes offers a generous list of standard luxury features such as heated front seats with memory settings, a sunroof, open-pore wood trim, and aluminium accents.
