Meet the new 11th generation of Honda Civic, the All-New 2022 Honda Civic, the design is much more reserved than currently with fewer messy lines and more of an Accord-inspired shape and a stretched-out hood to make it look sporty. This Civic Sedan Sport also features a sportier appearance with black wheels and a sportier front-end design. (The coupe is dead ) The car has a 1.4 longer wheelbase and .5in longer rear track. ⠀

⠀The new model boasts cleaner styling, carryover engines, and plenty of new features and upgrades that should result in a useful improvement. Honda has stretched the Civic sedan’s wheelbase by 1.4 inches and widened the rear track by 0.5 inches. On the more mainstream side of things, the 2022 Civic sedan’s powertrain lineup remains similar. A naturally aspirated 2.0-litre inline-four with horsepower is standard on LX and Sport models, and a turbocharged 1.5-litre inline-four is again included on EX and Touring trims.

2022 Honda Civic Engine and Performance

The engine options carry over from the 2021 models, with a 158-horsepower 2.0-litre inline-4 featured on LX and Sport trims and a 180-hp 1.5-litre turbo-4 found in the EX and Touring trims. A continuously variable automatic transmission and front-wheel drive complete the drivetrain.

The new Civic will remain solely a front-wheel-drive car with no all-wheel-drive option anywhere in the lineup. Sadly, the manual transmission offered on the previous generation Civic has been cut for 2022, leaving a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) as the sole offering.

Base models come standard with a 158-hp 2.0-litre four-cylinder while the upgrade engine continues to be a turbocharged 1.5-litre four-cylinder that now makes 180 horsepower. Even though it has redesigned everything else about the new Civic, Honda has decided to carry over the powertrain options from the previous-generation car.
