If there one company to count on building an impressive truck it is Ford Motor Company and this new 2022 Ford Maverick blows away expectations already, This 2022 Maverick Ford’s new compact pickup truck and it starts at just ₦10.5 million. Based on what we know about this truck so far, we’d probably spec our Maverick as a front-wheel-drive XLT model with the hybrid setup for maximum value and fuel economy balanced with a good sprinkling of modern conveniences and tech.

The Maverick can carry 1,500lbs of payload while the hybrid and EcoBoost can tow 2,000lbs and that EcoBoost can tow up to 4,000lbs with a Tow Package. Hyundai’s offering can tow 5,000lbs. Now it is no question that the Santa Cruz looks worlds better than the Maverick but there is not as much utility and quirks. Ford has engineered the Maverick with loads of cubby holes, storage pockets, clamp mounts, rubber and durable surfaces and more everywhere. Inside is a technical-looking interior with either a durable cloth material or even leather but nothing can hide the sea of plastic.

There’s a cubby next to it that’s awkwardly sized, but the interior is full of other alcoves, including under the rear seats, for items such as larger water bottles and phones. Ford used a floating armrest design for the door panels to allow for more room to fit those larger jugs. WiFi capability and Apple CarPlay and Android capabilities are standard across the board. The base and mid-level models have manually adjustable cloth seats, but the top Lariat model upgrades to power-adjustable faux-leather seats.
