2021 Ford Edge has received new wheel designs, and two new gray colors join the palette. All models also receive acoustic-laminated glass on the front side windows for extra sound deadening as well as standard rear parking sensors. The infotainment system gets upgraded to the Sync 4 interface and gains a 12-inch display. The top-level ST model adds a six-way power-adjustable passenger seat and a heated steering wheel as standard.

2021 Edge features an extensive wheel lineup for increased choice and customization, with nine options including 18-inch Sparkle Silver-painted aluminum wheels standard on the SE series and 21-inch premium gloss black-painted aluminum wheels available on ST. New interior trim options for Edge include a Ceramic interior option on Titanium Elite models and a new Cloth interior option for SEL. New available exterior colors are Carbonized Gray and Lithium Gray.

Plenty spacious for four adults, the Edge’s cabin is a comfortable place for a commute or a road trip. Materials throughout the cabin are nicely chosen, but panel fit and finish could be better; we noticed a few misaligned dashboard pieces in our test vehicle. Otherwise, the interior design is simple and understated, with plenty of room for people and cargo. 

2021 Ford Edge Engine and Performance

The base turbocharged four-cylinder makes 250 horsepower and, despite its casual acceleration, should provide adequate power for most customers. While most Edge models utilize a pedestrian turbocharged four-cylinder engine, the range-topping model is another story. The Ford Edge ST is one of the only performance-oriented models in the class, with a turbocharged V6 producing a considerable 335 horsepower. The ST counts grippy front seats and a sport-tuned suspension among its many upgrades.

Returning for 2021 is Edge ST-Line for SUV customers who prefer Edge ST’s bold style while prioritizing value over performance. Edge ST-Line features a unique ST-style grille with body-colored bumpers, black ST beltline molding combined with lower sport cladding, standard fog lamps, and signature LED lighting. Black roof rack side rails, 20-inch gloss black aluminum wheels and unique Edge ST-Line badging further enhance the look.
