Although the Rogue name might make you have different imaginations of what the Nissan Rogue actually looks like, the crossover SUV still has much more to offer than living up to its Rogue name. The 2019 Nissan Rogue has so much to offer in terms of comfort, safety features, and fuel economy. Although it doesn’t quite have the agility and performance of the other cars in its category, it still holds its own pretty well as a good crossover SUV.

It might not pass as a luxurious vehicle but it definitely passes for a classy crossover SUV with a stylishly designed interior. Its attractive exterior and interior designs, coupled with its massive interior space make the 2019 Nissan Rogue a worthy purchase.

On the other hand, the crossover SUV usually struggles to accelerate swiftly and it doesn’t have the most impressive handling when compared to its Mazda, Honda or Ford competitors. But on the bright side, if you can ignore these negatives, you would find the 2019 Rogue to be a delightful one.
2019 Nissan Rogue Trims
Buyers of the 2019 Nissan Rogue are spoiled with the options of different trim levels. The main trim levels include Rogue S, Rogue SV, and Rogue SL, while the hybrid variant has two trim levels, Rogue SV hybrid, and Rogue SL hybrid. The base trim level, Rogue S, has a good number of features but the features keep increasing as we go up the trim levels.
2019 Nissan Rogue Performance
The performance of this crossover SUV isn’t impressive at all. No, it isn’t awful. It just isn’t impressive. First off, you have to be able to deal with its noisiness if you’re thinking about owning one. Also, the reluctance with which the SUV accelerates could be frustrating. To add to it, the crossover SUV has middling handling. It definitely isn’t bad but it could be way better.
The 2.5 L four-cylinder engine that is housed in the crossover SUV main trim levels has an output power of 170 hp. And as for the hybrid variants, a 2.0 L four-cylinder engine with an electric motor is housed in them. This engine has a power output of 176 hp. Furthermore, both the hybrid and the main variants have continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). The CVT tends to be lazy in accelerating and complains by wailing when it needs to accelerate.
The suspension offers quite a comfortable ride and the light steering wheel is a delight to grab. In addition, the fuel economy of the rogue is quite impressive as the front-wheel-drive has a fuel economy of 26 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway. The all-wheel-drive just slightly falls below the fuel economy of the front-wheel-drive with 25 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway. With the hybrid variants, however, the fuel economy soars with 33 mpg on a city cruise and 35 mpg on the highway for the front-wheel drive, and 31 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway for the all-wheel drive.
2019 Nissan Rogue Interior
If this crossover SUV isn’t spacious, then I don’t know what else is. There is enough room for the driver and all passengers to feel comfortable in. The passengers in the backseat always have enough legroom. In addition, getting in and out of the vehicle is a piece of cake, although, taller drivers may brush their thighs on the steering wheel when getting into it.
The interior is stylishly designed but the only things that dent the rather flawless rating of the interior design are the really small buttons around a small screen. The screen itself has some virtual buttons on it, making the whole thing look cluttered. Also, some of these buttons are not well placed.
While the 2019 Nissan Rogue isn’t all that cheap when compared with its rivals, Honda CRV and Mazda CX-5, the low-quality plastic materials around the cabin kind of make it feel cheap.
Safety
There are a lot of safety features in the 2019 Nissan Rogue. They include an active driver assistance feature, blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, automatic high beams, lane-keeping assist, and rear cross-traffic alert. While the rear automatic emergency braking system is standard on the SV and SL trims, it is absent on the S trim. The SV also has some exclusive safety features, such as ProPilot, cruise control, lane centring and traffic jam assist. These features are optional on the SL trim.
Price of 2019 Nissan Rogue in Nigeria
